Who Are We

The trust manages the Grant Application Process for Local Community Groups to apply for grant funding to fund their projects local to the wind farms.

Bryn Blaen Community Wind Fund CIO has a 20 year funding agreement with the Bryn Blaen Wind Farm to support the local community.

About the Wind Farm

  • Installed Capacity: 14.10 MWp
  • Annual Generation: 38,000 MWh

Trust Objectives

The object of the CIO is: to advance any purpose which is charitable under the laws of England and Wales by making grants primarily for the benefit of the public in the communities of Llanidloes, Llanidloes Without and Llangurig.

Applications Open: 1st August 2023

The trustees anticipate six-monthly application cycles, each of which will have a clear deadline. Following each round the trustees will meet to decide what grants to award.
